Frank D’Angelo is a Bio Television personality, entertainer, vocalist, screenwriter, director, author, and businessman. D’Angelo, the multifaceted artist has got success as a famous filmmaker because of some promising plots in the popular movies like Sicilian Vampire, The Red Maple Leaf, The Neighborhood, No Deposit, The Big Fat Stone, Real Gangster and The Joke Thief. Along with these award-winning movies, he has also been the anchor of late night talk show, The Being Frank Show.
Frank D’Angelo has become Canada’s one of the most accomplished filmmakers who has starred and directed 7 feature films with a cast of renowned Hollywood actors. The homegrown auteur has also written and scored the music of all his films, which are appreciated by an audience of Canadian movie.

Sicilian Vampire, 2015

‘Sicilian Vampire’ got fame and popularity because of its creativity and amazing performance of the Oscar-winning starts in the film. In the movie, the plot stares a mobster whole life changes when he opens a fruit-box of banana and got bitten by a vampire bat. After that, he becomes an endower of superhuman powers with features like fast-regenerating blood cells, acute hearing, and a pair of fangs. The film is a combination of action and fiction. It is an amalgamation of mob war plot and vampire angle actions.

The story of the film is not common to other vampire movies, but a critic judgmentally condemned, “Sicilian Vampire: An uncomfortable, bizarre trip through Frank D'Angelo.” This criticism should not be entertained by Film Academy because the movie has tried to bring novelty in a Canadian movie.

The Neighborhood, 2017

‘The Neighborhood’ is an original story by Frank D’Angelo, which took place in Brooklyn NY. The plot is about a brash small-time group of hoodlums, who were involved with crime jobs in their neighborhood since they were kids. This group used to steal donations from church, truck loaded products. Later the group got caught by an old-school Mafia kingpin, which was a threat to them.
The plot of the movie proves it a crime story that reveals the reflection of corruption and crime on contemporary generation. The reality of the movie attracted the audience to watch the movie in theatres.

The Joke Thief, 2018

‘The Joke Thief’ is the latest film of Frank D’Angelo. It is the seventh film of D’Angelo, with a different plot. The movie is a story of a joke stealer. The Joke Stealer is a standup comedian who is involved in making the audience laugh from 35 years. He never got a lucky break because of his plagiarized jokes, but one night his fellow comedian friend convinces a comedy club owner to give him a chance in his stage. The joke stealer proved him by showing a replay of his special moments and whirlwind journey of life.

Frank D'Angelo received the Indie Spirit Best Actor Award as also the Indie Spirit  Special Recognition Award for the film "The Joke Thief" in the Boston Film Festival Award, 2018.

Conclusion

As a performer, D’Angelo believes, there is a big void for Canadians to promote their talents in film-industry, so Frank confronted several criticisms like, “Sicilian Vampire: An uncomfortable, bizarre trip through Frank D'Angelo.”, but still did not take his step back from cinematography and film-direction.
